Rain in Delhi-NCR: The people of Delhi-NCR have got a big relief amid the scorching heat. The weather took a sudden turn on Thursday evening, after which there was heavy rain in the capital and many adjoining cities. People have got a lot of relief due to strong wind accompanied by rain. Actually, people were troubled by the heat for the past several days. The Meteorological Department had already issued an alert regarding rain.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued an orange alert of rain and hailstorm. There is a possibility of rain with thunder in Delhi-NCR. Along with this, there is also a possibility of lightning and hailstorm in many areas. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has advised people to be cautious and not to leave their homes unnecessarily.
According to the Meteorological Department, during the rains the winds will blow at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour, while at some places wind gusts can reach up to 70 kilometers per hour. The Meteorological Department says that rain with thunder and lightning may continue throughout the night.
The Meteorological Department has warned that due to strong winds and bad weather, there is a possibility of falling of trees, damage to weak structures and disruption of power supply. At the same time, traffic on the roads may also be affected. There is a possibility of damage to crops and property due to hailstorm.
