Political rhetoric has intensified on the statement of Samajwadi Party chief and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav regarding the fall of the BJP government and the coming of SP to power. NDA constituents have rejected Akhilesh’s claim and termed it as ‘Mungerilal’s beautiful dream’.

Speaking to IANS, Uttar Pradesh government minister Om Prakash Rajbhar said, “Akhilesh Yadav was claiming to form his government in 2014, 2017, 2019 and 2022 also. Now we will see in 2027 also. The situation that has happened in West Bengal, will be the same in Uttar Pradesh too.”

Janata Dal (United) national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad said, “Where are they going to form the government in Uttar Pradesh? All across Uttar Pradesh, just like in the rest of the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popularity is clearly visible.

Under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath, the state government has taken major decisions in the fields of infrastructure, employment, investment and law and order. “As a result, BJP and its allies are expected to make huge gains in 2027 as well.”

Taking aim at Akhilesh, Bihar BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi said, “Just like the opposition was completely destroyed after the elections in Bihar, the opposition was destroyed in West Bengal and the Congress is struggling for its existence in Assam, the same is going to happen to the Samajwadi Party. Therefore, Akhilesh Yadav should keep dreaming. The Samajwadi Party is going to be completely destroyed.”

Bihar government minister Ram Kripal Yadav strongly rejected Akhilesh’s statement. He said, “Where will the Samajwadi government come from? This is just a dream like ‘Mungerilal’s beautiful dream’. This time the Samajwadi Party will not survive. The public will completely uproot it. No trace of it will be left.”
