Candidates who applied for the PSSSB Excise Inspector recruitment examination are advised to download their admit cards from the official PSSSB website. The PSSSB Excise Inspector 2026 examination is scheduled to be held on May 31, 2026. Under this recruitment drive, a total of 197 posts for Excise and Taxation Inspectors are to be filled.
**How to Download**
Visit the official website of the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board at https://sssb.punjab.gov.in/.
Locate the 'Admit Card' link on the webpage and click on it.
A new page will open. On this page, accurately enter all the requested details.
The admit card will appear on your screen; download it and carefully verify all the information listed on it, such as your name.
If you notice any discrepancies regarding your name, photograph, exam date, or other details on the admit card, please contact the PSSSB officials immediately.
**Examination Pattern**
The PSSSB Excise Inspector examination will carry a total of 100 marks. Negative marking will be applicable for incorrect answers, with 0.25 marks being deducted for each wrong response. The total duration of the examination will be 2.5 hours. The first paper will be on the Punjabi language, carrying 50 marks. Passing this paper is mandatory.
On the day of the exam, ensure that you carry a valid Photo ID proof along with your admit card. Entry into the examination center will not be permitted without both the admit card and a valid ID proof.
**Salary Details**
During the probation period, the monthly salary is approximately ₹35,000. Upon the successful completion of the probation period, additional allowances such as DA (Dearness Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance), and other benefits become applicable, bringing the total salary to over ₹50,000.
