During this period, strict security arrangements have been made. This major festival of Islam is also known as Eid of Sacrifice. Celebrated on the 10th of Zil-Hijja, the last month of the Hijri calendar, the main message of this festival is sacrifice, dedication and complete faith in Allah. History of Eid-ul-Azha: According to Islamic tradition, the story of Eid-ul-Azha is to Hazrat Ibrahim (Alaihis Salaam) and his son Hazrat Ismail (Alaihis Salaam).
On the orders of Allah, Hazrat Ibrahim received the order in his dream to sacrifice his most beloved thing. The dearest thing to him was his son Ismail. Both father and son had bowed their heads before the will of Allah. As soon as Ibrahim (Alaihis Salaam) wielded the knife, Allah accepted his faith and submission and sent a sheep (Dumba) in place of Ismail (Alaihis Salaam). In memory of this incident, Muslims sacrifice halal animals every year in the path of Allah, which is also called Sunnah-e-Ibrahimi.
