Tata Tiago EV Facelift 2026: Amidst the increasing demand for electric cars in the country, Tata Motors is going to launch the new facelift model of its most affordable electric car Tiago EV on 28 May 2026. The teasers and leaked pictures revealed before the launch have made it clear that the new Tata Tiago EV Facelift is going to be more premium, high-tech and stylish than before. The company has made many major changes in its design, features and cabin layout. The big question is how different will the new Tiago EV facelift be from the existing model? There will be a big change in the design

The design of the current Tata Tiago EV is quite simple and like a traditional hatchback. A more sharp and modern design will be seen in the new facelift. The new car can be given slim LED headlights, eyebrow-style DRLs and body colored closed front grille. Apart from this, the new sporty bumper and vertical design elements will give it a more premium look.
Newly designed alloy wheels, black ORVMs and new EV badging can be seen in the side profile. At the rear, connected-style LED taillamps and a new bumper will give it a completely fresh appeal. The facelift will look more futuristic than the current model.

Cabin will be more premium

The current Tiago EV gets a basic dashboard design, but the facelift model will get a completely new and layered dashboard layout. The new EV will have a floating touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. A new two-spoke steering wheel will also be seen, which will have Tata.ev branding.
The new car can get premium fabric seats with dual-tone black and gray theme. Whereas in the current model, leatherette seats are provided in some variants. The cabin of the facelift model will look more modern and technology-focused than before.

There will be a big upgrade in features
The biggest change in the facelift model can be seen in terms of features. The new Tiago EV is expected to have features like 10.25 inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, rear AC vents and Type-C charging port. The most important thing is that a 360 degree camera can also be provided in the new Tiago EV, which will make it special among the most affordable EVs in this segment. This feature is not available in the current model.

What will change in battery and range?
According to reports, the existing 19.2kWh and 24kWh battery pack options may continue in the new Tiago EV facelift. The current model gives a claimed range of 223km to 293km. However, the company can slightly improve the range through better battery management and efficiency.

There may be a slight increase in price
Currently, the starting ex-showroom price of the current Tata Tiago EV is Rs 7.99 lakh. Considering the new features and design updates, a slight increase in the price of the facelift model is considered possible. After the launch of the new Tiago EV facelift, it can give tough competition to electric cars like MG Comet EV and Citroen eC3. Better features, updated design and Tata’s strong EV networking can make it stronger in the budget EV segment.
