Alert of storm, rain and hailstorm from tomorrow in many states including Delhi, UP, relief from scorching heat.

New Delhi. People suffering from scorching heat and heat waves in North India are now going to get relief. The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms, rain and hailstorm at some places from May 28 in many states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. With the change in weather, the temperature is also expected to drop.

The temperature in Delhi has been reaching 45 to 46 degrees Celsius for the last few days. Whereas in areas like Banda, Prayagraj and Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh, mercury has been recorded at 47 to 48 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, between May 29 and June 5, pre-monsoon rain and thunderstorms can be seen in about 80 to 90 percent of the country. Due to western disturbance active in the Himalayan regions, it is already raining in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In the coming days, its effect will be visible in the plain states also.

Delhi weather

The sky is expected to be clear in Delhi on May 27 and the maximum temperature will be between 44 to 46 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature can remain between 27 to 29 degrees, due to which the heat will be felt even at night.

A warning has been issued for light to moderate rain, strong winds and lightning in Delhi on May 28 and 29. On May 29, there may be a strong storm with a speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for this. There is a possibility of several spells of rain both during the day and night.

Uttar Pradesh weather

Light to moderate rain is expected in western and eastern Uttar Pradesh between May 28 and 31. This may be accompanied by lightning and strong winds at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.

In many areas of Western UP and Purvanchal adjacent to Delhi, a warning has been given of strong storm with a speed of 80 kilometers per hour on 28 and 29 May. This will provide relief from the heat, but there will also be a possibility of damage due to strong winds and lightning.

Weather of Uttarakhand, Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir

There is a possibility of light to heavy rain in Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir from May 28 to 30. There may be heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh on 28th and 29th May. A warning of lightning and strong winds has also been issued in these states. People have been advised to remain alert due to bad weather in the hilly areas.

Weather of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh

The weather is also going to change in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh between 28 to 31 May. There may be light to moderate rain along with strong winds. The Meteorological Department has predicted strong thunderstorms and lightning in many areas on May 28 and 29. This will bring down the temperature and people will get relief from heat wave.

Rajasthan weather

An alert of rain, thunder and strong storm has been issued in Rajasthan on 28, 29 and 30 May. Winds can blow at a speed of 70 kilometers per hour in many areas. The Meteorological Department has warned that the dust storm can also take the form of a tornado at many places. People have been advised to stay indoors and be cautious during bad weather.

Weather of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra

There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Madhya Pradesh between May 28 and 30. Similar weather may persist in Chhattisgarh also till May 30. There are chances of continuous heavy rains in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra from 28th to 30th May. Pre-monsoon rains have started in Marathwada region. There is a possibility of continuous rain in Konkan, Goa and Central Maharashtra till May 29.

Weather will change in Gujarat also

There is a possibility of rain with strong winds in Saurashtra and Kutch region of Gujarat around June 1. According to the Meteorological Department, pre-monsoon activities will intensify in many parts of Western India in the coming days.
