There has been a huge uproar inside a society in Mira Road adjacent to Mumbai over goats being brought for sacrifice and sheds being built for those goats. The uproar started last night and is still going on. This is the case of Poonam Cluster Society of Mira Road. Here last night people of two communities came face to face and there was a fierce fight. Meanwhile, Hindu organizations are protesting there since today (May 26) morning.
Hindu organizations recited Hanuman Chalisa and protested. During this, slogans were raised loudly and suddenly the crowd started going out of control. After this, to control the situation, the police chased away the people who were creating ruckus. Some people have also been detained.
This whole controversy started yesterday (May 25) but the matter escalated quickly. In Poonam Society of Mira Road, where the commotion took place, goats were seen tied in the parking lot. The reason for the tension was that before Bakrid, a shed was built in the society to keep the goats, which was opposed by the society people and Hindu organizations. After receiving the complaint, the Municipal Corporation took action and demolished this shed. According to the information, when an attempt was made to build a shed here again, people from the other party protested. During this, people from both sides clashed.
After the uproar in Poonam Cluster Society, politics regarding this has also intensified. Congress leader Naseem Khan has accused BJP regarding this controversy and claimed that BJP and its leaders are trying to convert the matter into Hindu-Muslim.
