Has Elon Musk been developing a tech related to NBA through which users can download player’s jump shot into their memory?
No, tech billionaire Elon Musk has not confirmed developing any technology related to the NBA or any other league in the world.
The rumor is completely false and the post has been fabricated by a parody page on X.
For the unversed, in the last few hours, a parody page by the username “Hoops Crave” made a post about Elon Musk which read as, “Elon Musk says that Neuralink will let users download an NBA player’s jump shot into muscle memory by 2028.”
While some fans were convinced that this could be true, others were quick to debunk the fake post.
A fan joked, “Everybody rocking the Curry jumpshot in the big 28”, while another fan wrote, “Thought I uploaded a corrupted file but it’s just Lu Dort’s jumpshot.”
A third fan joked, “It’s literally like the Matrix. Instead of ‘I know kung fu’, it’s ‘I know Steph Curry jump shot.’”
Another fan noted, “I’m sure at this point any human with a nueralink would be banned from joining Professional sports at that level. They would have to make a league of their own for Humans with chips in their head with no talent but dowloaded talent…”
While the fake post already has 8.9 million views, neither tech billionaire Elon Musk nor the NBA has officially commented on it yet.
Elon Musk has often been associated with such fake NBA rumors
Over the last few years, Elon Musk has often been associated with such fake rumors related to the league.
A few months ago, there were rumors about the tech billionaire offering a whopping $500 million for a stake in the Los Angeles Lakers.
However, all rumors have been proven false as Elon Musk has yet to react officially to it.
