Aadhaar card is going to change radically very soon. Earlier, UIDAI decided to completely stop the online version of Aadhaar i.e. mAadhaar. The Aadhaar regulatory body has announced on social media that the mAadhaar app will be completely shut down soon. A new app named ‘Aadhaar’ will be introduced instead. The Aadhaar regulator advises citizens to download that app.

UIDAI says mAadhaar app is secure and works properly but there are few issues. For example, when the app is shown in a hotel, hospital or government office, sometimes the complete Aadhaar information is shared. Which is a security risk. But Aadhaar’ app has added several modern and secure features. From now on, users can share only the information they want. Full Aadhaar information need not be shared.

How to download this app?

According to UIDAI, the app can be downloaded by going to Google Play Store or Apple App Store and searching by writing ‘Aadhaar’. After downloading choose one of 13 languages. After that OTP needs to be verified with mobile connected to Aadhaar. The app may also ask for a face scan to verify security. After that, after setting the security pin number and adding the 12 digit Aadhaar number, the profile will be created.
