The first qualifier match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 was played on Tuesday (26 May) between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT). In this match held at HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala, RCB registered a resounding victory by 92 runs and entered the finals. Whereas GT will now have to play Qualifier 2 in Mullanpur to get the ticket for Ahmedabad.
GT won the toss and invited RCB to bat first. Rajat Patidar played a stormy innings of unbeaten 93 runs in 33 balls, taking RCB to the score of 254/5, in response to which GT team was reduced to just 162 runs.
