The written examination for the recruitment of Constable Operators in Bihar, originally scheduled for June 21, has been postponed. Due to a clash with the NEET UG examination, this exam will now be conducted on June 28, 2026.

Major news has emerged for thousands of young individuals in Bihar who are preparing for government jobs. Candidates awaiting the Constable Operator recruitment examination within the Bihar Police Telecommunications and Technical Department will now have to appear for the exam according to the new schedule. The Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment) has taken the decision to modify the examination date.

Specifically, the written examination for the recruitment of 993 Constables (Operators) in the Bihar Police was originally slated for June 21, 2026. However, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is also conducting the rescheduled NEET (UG) 2026 examination on the very same day. A significant number of students have applied for both the Bihar Police recruitment and NEET. Consequently, holding both examinations on the same day could have caused immense inconvenience to the candidates.

Taking this predicament faced by the aspirants into consideration, the recruitment board took a timely and significant decision to postpone the examination and announce a new date. Following this decision, thousands of young people have breathed a sigh of relief, as they will no longer be compelled to forgo one examination in favor of the other.

Why Was the Exam Date Changed?

When the schedules for both examinations—both originally set for June 21—were released, many candidates expressed their concerns. They argued that they had been preparing for both examinations for a long time, and if both were to be held on the same day, they would face a major crisis.

Understanding the situation, the Central Selection Board prioritized the interests of the candidates and decided to reschedule the examination. The recruitment board maintains that no candidate should be deprived of an opportunity simply due to a clash in examination dates.

When Will the Exam Now Take Place?

According to the new notification, the Bihar Police Constable (Operator) recruitment examination will now be conducted on Sunday, June 28, 2026. The examination will be conducted in a single shift, scheduled from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

However, candidates are required to reach the examination center well in advance of the scheduled start time. The Board has clarified that all candidates must enter the examination center between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Candidates arriving after the stipulated time may face difficulties in gaining entry.

Examination Center Details Available from June 15

Another important announcement for candidates is that they will be able to access their examination-related details online starting June 15, 2026. To do so, candidates must visit the Council's official website. There, they will be able to log in using their registration number (or mobile number) and date of birth. Upon logging in, candidates will be able to ascertain the district in which their examination is scheduled to be held. This will facilitate their preparations regarding travel and other necessary arrangements.
