There is a tremendous upheaval in the politics of Tamil Nadu these days. Ever since superstar Thalapathy Vijay became the Chief Minister of the state, there has been panic in the opposition camp. According to the latest news coming from political circles, AIADMK has suffered another major setback. The party’s fourth MLA Esakki Subaya has also resigned from his post. On Tuesday i.e. 26th May, he met the Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker and submitted his resignation letter, after which the political activities in the state have become more intense.

Competition to join Vijay’s party TVK

This change in the politics of Tamil Nadu has not happened suddenly, but for the last few days, the process of opposition MLAs joining Vijay’s party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) has been going on. Just a day before this, i.e. on Monday, May 25, three other AIADMK MLAs had left the membership of the Assembly and joined the ruling party TVK. These MLAs who resigned include Maragatham Kumaravel, P. Satyabhama and S. Big names like Jayakumar are included. It is believed that these three are almost certain to get tickets to contest elections on the TVK symbol in the upcoming by-elections.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Joseph Vijay, TVK had contested 233 seats in the state. Initially, the party performed brilliantly and won 107 seats. After this Vijay vacated the Tiruchi East seat. Although the party was a little short of the magic figure of 118 seats required to form the government, but due to Thalapathy Vijay’s political skills, he got support from other parties without any hindrance and formed the government.

Vijay government’s big decision for farmers

Thalapathy Vijay has come into action mode as soon as he took over as the Chief Minister. Taking a big decision in the public interest, he has waived off the loans of more than 14 lakh farmers of Tamil Nadu. This step of the government has directly brought great relief to lakhs of farmer families of the state, which is being considered as the biggest masterstroke of the Vijay government so far.

Congress and other parties joined together

Congress has also joined this alliance to strengthen Vijay’s government. Congress has been given two important ministerial posts in the government. Apart from this, parties like VCK and IUML have also become an important part of this new government led by Vijay. On the other hand, CPI (CPI) and CPI (M) have extended their unconditional support to the government from outside, due to which Thalapathy Vijay’s position appears to be very strong.
