Nicolas Cage, who recently starred in Amazon and MGM’s Spider-Blacka live-action adaptation of the Spider-Verse character, spoke about which roles he would like to revisit from his packed career.
In a new interview, the Oscar-winning actor singled out Cameron Poe from Con Air and Ben Riley from his latest series.
Nicolas Cage lists two iconic roles he’d like to revisit
Nicolas Cage has built an extensive body of work that includes superheroes, tragic protagonists, and fictionalized versions of himself. The actor recently spoke about which character he would most like to revisit from his filmography.
Nicolas Cage was asked a question about his role during an interview with Parade. The interviewer asked, “Is there a role from your past that you still think about and wonder if you’d like to revisit that character someday?”
The actor had an iconic character from the past and one from the present that he wanted to revisit.
“The two that come to mind simply because I would like to know and they’re alive, many of the characters that I think were my best characters are deceased, but I think the Cameron Poe [from Con Air] character. An older Cameron Poe, I’d like to know what his life is like now, what’s going on with him,” Cage said.
He also wanted to revisit another character. The actor continued, “I also like this character. I like Ben Riley. We got where I needed to go ultimately in terms of the fantasy in my head and what I saw when I viewed all eight episodes, but I think there’s more room to develop this character and put him in other circumstances. Those two come to mind.”
Nicolas Cage stars as Ben Riley in Spider-Noir, perhaps one of the most unique superhero shows in recent years. It also stars Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson.
Spider-Noir has already premiered in its entirety on May 25, 2026, on MGM+ in the United States. It will premiere globally on May 27, 2026, on Amazon Prime Video.
