which development block The issue of alleged irregularities and misuse of government funds in the works done by the village head in Gram Panchayat Rorwa has gained momentum. The matter has been investigated, but a copy of the investigation report has not yet been provided to the complainant. Angered by this, the complainant has again submitted the application to District Magistrate Sonbhadra and demanded action.
Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, resident of village Rokha, said in the complaint letter given to the District Magistrate that earlier a complaint was made about corruption and embezzlement of funds in the development works done in the Gram Panchayat. Taking the complaint seriously, the District Magistrate’s office had given instructions in letter no. 3644 dated 28 January 2026 to form an investigation team and investigate the matter. After this, on March 12, 2026, the investigation team reached the village and conducted on-site inspection of various works.
The complainant alleges that even after the completion of the investigation, till date the copy of the investigation report has not been provided by the District Panchayat Raj Officer’s office. He said that an application in this regard was also given to the District Panchayat Raj Officer on March 7, 2026, but no hearing was held.
The victim has demanded from the District Magistrate that transparency should be ensured in the matter by providing a copy of the report of the investigation conducted in Gram Panchayat Rorwa. At the same time, the discussion regarding the matter has intensified among the villagers also. In this regard, an attempt was made to contact the District Panchayat Raj Officer on cell phone but could not be contacted. The same ADPRO Sonbhadra said that there is no information about the said incident.
