Maruti Flex Fuel Car | At present, when there is a shortage of petrol and diesel in the country, now there is a news that will give relief to the automobile sector. A car running on 100% ethanol will soon be launched in the country. This car will be from Maruti Suzuki. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced this. This car running on ethanol will reduce the cost of petrol.

Maruti Suzuki will launch its first flex-fuel car at a special event in Delhi on Environment Day this year on June 5, 2026. This is considered a big milestone for the Indian automobile sector. Currently, there is no such 100% ethanol powered four wheeler available in India. So, this Maruti car could be the first E100 flex-fuel car in the country.

What exactly is a flex-fuel car?

A flex-fuel car is a vehicle that can run on a variety of fuels, including a mixture of petrol and ethanol. Unlike regular petrol cars, such vehicles have special modifications to the engine, fuel storage system and ignition system, so that the ethanol does not damage the engine. According to current buzz, this upcoming car may be based on Maruti’s popular SUV model Maruti Suzuki Fronx. Earlier at the Japan Mobility Show, Suzuki showed off an E85-powered prototype of the Franks. Now the company is expected to bring a new version with more advanced E100 technology.

What will benefit the general public?

This technology can bring huge financial benefits to vehicle owners. Because the cost of ethanol is relatively less than petrol. This can automatically reduce the cost of running the vehicle. At the same time, the environment will benefit as ethanol-powered cars also reduce pollution. Maruti Flex Fuel Car

Apart from this, India’s expenditure on crude oil imports can also be reduced. Currently, the country has to import a large amount of fuel. In such a case, the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ campaign can also be boosted if domestic ethanol production increases. Also, petrol and diesel will save money. Already, the price of petrol and diesel has skyrocketed in the country. Petrol and diesel prices have gone up for the fourth time in a row today. In that case, this car running on 100% ethanol will be a big relief for Indians.
