Announcement of compensation by Prime Minister and Chief Minister

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep grief over the incident and announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased. The injured will get Rs 50,000 each. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the victims.
