Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has started preparations for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2027. He held a state level meeting on Sunday at his residence on Mall Avenue in the capital Lucknow. He gave a big message in the meeting regarding strengthening the organization up to the booth level and preparations for the upcoming assembly elections. He has given a mantra to the officials that for the fifth time, Bahujan Samaj Party has to come to power in UP and form the government.

In Mayawati’s meeting, resolutions like ‘have to press the button on the elephant, have to come to power for the fifth time’ have also been taken. All the district heads and senior officials of UP including Akash Anand were called in the meeting. An interesting scene was also seen during the meeting. He had come with Mayawati to attend the meeting but on the stage he touched Mayawati’s feet and got down from the stage.

Mission to form government for the fifth time

Mayawati has said that in view of the political situation and election challenges, Bahujan Samaj Party needs to be active. He claimed that an atmosphere is being created among the public in the state towards Bahujan Samaj Party. The aim of the party is to form a public welfare government for the fifth time in the state. For this, there is a need to work seriously on strengthening the organization at the grassroots level along with increasing the support base for the assembly elections.

Neither BJP, nor SP, Mayawati kept silence on everything

While attacking in the name of any party, Mayawati said that big promises are made to the public at the time of elections, but as soon as the elections are over, the governments forget their promises and announcements. Such deceitful and divisive politics is not benefiting the public. He instructed his workers to make people aware that their vote is the biggest right and weapon. Questions were also raised on unemployment, inflation and law and order. He reminded of law and order and public welfare during BSP rule.

Brahmin love also overflowed

Mayawati’s love for Brahmins was also visible during the meeting on Sunday. He said that Brahmins got maximum respect in the Bahujan Samaj Party government. The party had given maximum tickets to Brahmins. Bahujan Samaj Party had done the work of giving respect and participation to all the society.

Now what next?

Akash Anand holds the post of National Convener in the party. He was removed from the post of successor by Mayawati in March 2025, now he has returned once again. Mayawati has not yet made it clear what decision she is going to take on the future of Akash Anand.
