On the basis of evidence presented by Bettiah Police, police testimony and timely submitted charge sheet, the court has convicted the accused in the rape case and sentenced him to life imprisonment. Other special public prosecutor Jaishankar Tiwari has given information about the free things, he said that the case is to Nautan police station case number-487/23, the hearing of which was going on in the special court.
According to the information, the court of District and Additional Sessions Judge cum Special Judge (Rape and POCSO Act) Arvind Kumar Gupta found accused Subhash Yadav, resident of Shyampur Kotraha, Police Station Nautan, District West Champaran, guilty under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code and POCSO Act. While hearing the point of punishment, the court sentenced the accused to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50 thousand.
An additional six months’ imprisonment has also been ordered for non-payment of fine. Along with this, the court directed the victim to pay a compensation amount of Rs 7 lakh. It was told that this case was conducted under speedy trial. Special Public Prosecutor Jai Shankar Tiwari made an effective plea on behalf of the prosecution, which resulted in success in getting the accused convicted.
