There will be no repeat of the exuberant scenes that followed Arsenal’s Premier League title triumph earlier this week.
The Gunners travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace on the final day of the season, where they will finally receive the Premier League trophy.
Arsenal secured the title on Tuesday night after Manchester City’s draw with Bournemouth, prompting jubilant celebrations across north London.
In the early hours of Wednesday morning, around 5am, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Eberechi Eze and Jurrien Timber were spotted leaving a London nightclub and heading straight to the stadium, where they continued their celebrations.
However, Arsenal have confirmed that there will be no similar celebrations following Sunday’s game against Palace.
Large crowds are still expected to gather in north London to commemorate the club’s first Premier League trophy lift in 22 years, especially with the warm Bank Holiday weekend weather adding to the festive mood.
There had been speculation online that the players might travel from Selhurst Park to the Emirates Stadium to join fans for further celebrations.
However, Standard Sport understands that this will not happen, and the club will not hold any official celebration at the Emirates.
Arsenal’s official trophy presentation will take place at Selhurst Park, roughly 30 minutes after the final whistle, following Crystal Palace’s farewell for manager Oliver Glasner in his final home game in charge.
The team are expected to continue their celebrations privately later in the evening rather than staging any additional public event in north London.
Fans will have their opportunity to celebrate with the players on May 31, when Arsenal hold their official trophy parade, the day after the Champions League final.
The parade, scheduled to begin at 2pm, is expected to be more extensive than those held for FA Cup victories about a decade ago, though the exact route has yet to be confirmed.
To manage the anticipated large turnout and ensure crowds are evenly distributed, it is understood the players are unlikely to disembark from the bus for a trophy lift during the parade itself.
