The title Gurutvaakarshanewhich translates to “gravitation”, may suggest a science based film, but Mahender clarifies that the story takes a different route.

“People naturally assume it is a scientific film when they hear the title. But this is not science fiction. The film explores what happens when the idea of ‘gravitation’ is applied to life and relationships,” says the filmmaker.

Set in Kollegala and Chamarajanagar, the film has been shot entirely in the same regions, giving it a rooted local flavour. Mahender reveals that the journey behind the film is deeply personal.
