Maxence Lacroix (26) is reportedly set to depart from Crystal Palace at the end of the current season, following growing interest from other Premier League sides, according to a report by RMC Sport.
The French defender earned his first call-up to the France national team in March and made a strong impression on Didier Deschamps, convincing the manager of Les Bleus to include him in the squad for this summer’s FIFA World Cup. This international recognition marks a major milestone in Lacroix’s career, and he now appears ready to take a new step at the club level as well.
RMC Sport further reports that Lacroix will feature in his final Premier League match for Crystal Palace today. Although his current contract is valid until 2029, the South London club understands that retaining him will be a major challenge. The player is keen to compete in the UEFA Champions League — a platform that Crystal Palace are currently unable to offer.
The club has placed a valuation of €40 million on the centre-back. While there is widespread interest from across Europe, the strongest pursuit is said to come from top-tier Premier League teams.
