Lucknow. Amidst the uncertainty regarding the three-tier Panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh, new discussions have intensified regarding the role of village heads. Panchayati Raj Minister Omprakash Rajbhar has indicated that if the Panchayat elections are not held on time, a proposal has been prepared to continue the administrative system under the leadership of village heads.

According to the Minister, a suggestion has been sent to the Chief Minister by the Panchayati Raj Department, in which it has been said that in case of no elections, administrators can be appointed to keep the work smooth at the village level. He said that the final decision on this can be taken by the Chief Minister soon, possibly in a day or two.

During this, the minister also targeted the Samajwadi Party. He said that dynastic politics dominates the party and interpreted this as a new meaning of ‘PDA’. According to him, it has become a structure limited only to political families.

Rajbhar also alleged that questions were raised regarding the recruitment processes in the previous SP government and there were disputes over many decisions. He further said that at that time, objections were also filed by the courts regarding some appointments, due to which questions were raised on the functioning of the administration.
