Harry Kane once again made his mark during Saturday’s DFB Pokal final against VfB Stuttgart, matching another piece of footballing history with a standout performance.
The English striker was in the right place at the right time inside the penalty area, powering home a superb header just before the hour mark from Michael Olise’s precise cross.
That goal ensured Kane found the net in every single round of the DFB Pokal this season — and he even managed to score again later in the match.
As per Opta statistics, “Kane scored his sixth competitive goal against VfB Stuttgart this season, a milestone he had never achieved before — not for FC Bayern Munich nor Tottenham Hotspur across any competition in a single season against one opponent.”
In addition, Kane has become only the second foreign player to net eight goals in a single DFB Pokal campaign since the Bundesliga began, a feat last accomplished in the 1999/2000 season by Adnan Kevric for Stuttgart.
With such form, Kane seems perfectly poised ahead of the upcoming World Cup.
