Complete mathematics of price and variants
To establish a strong hold in the Indian market, Triumph has decided the prices of these two bikes very strategically. If we talk about the price, then the ex-showroom price of **Tiger 900 Alpine Edition, designed keeping in mind the road and touring, has been fixed at Rs 15.35 lakh**. At the same time, the ex-showroom price of **Tiger 900 Desert Edition, designed for more difficult roads and off-roading enthusiasts, has been kept at Rs 16.05 lakh**.
Interestingly, the road-biased Alpine Edition has been introduced with a new look and premium accessories package compared to its regular model (GT Pro), while the off-road centric Desert Edition (which is based on the Rally Pro) has been launched by the company at a very attractive price to give tough competition in the premium adventure segment.
Complete details of look, styling and performance
Both these special edition bikes are based on the brand new Tiger 900 platform. The company has given different styling themes as well as many necessary accessories already fitted (factory-fitted).
- Tiger 900 Alpine Edition: This is mainly for highway and long distance touring enthusiasts. It sports a ‘Snowdonia White’ and ‘Sapphire Black’ color scheme with beautiful blue highlights. To improve highway handling, it has been provided with Marzocchi suspension setup and premium **Akrapovic silencer** which further improves its sound and response.
- Tiger 900 Desert Edition: This bike is made for off-road adventure. It comes in ‘Urban Grey’ and ‘Sapphire Black’ colors with muscular highlights of ‘Baja Orange’. It also gets long-travel Showa suspension, heavy-duty engine protection bar and a special **Akrapovic exhaust** system.
“The demand for premium middleweight adventure motorcycles has grown rapidly in the Indian market. Bringing the new Tigers straight from the factory with premium accessories and exclusive paint schemes will appeal to riders who want to stand out from the crowd and go straight out on long tours without any additional modifications.”

Engine Capacity and Features
In terms of power and performance, both the bikes have Triumph’s signature **900cc T-Plane Triple Engine**. This liquid-cooled engine generates **105 to 108 brake horsepower (bhp) power** and **90 Newton-meters (Nm) torque**. Its special firing order gives the rider excellent grip and linear power delivery even at low speeds, which proves to be very helpful on hills and narrow roads. Along with this, modern safety features like 7-inch TFT display, cornering ABS, traction control and multiple riding modes are available as standard in both the variants.
