On May 20, FIFA shared a teaser for the song on TikTok with the caption, “Our new song is Goals.” Lisa appeared briefly at the end of the video wearing sportswear and dancing. She is reportedly likely to perform the song at the World Cup opening ceremony on June 12 at SoFi Stadium near Los Angeles, according to Hungama Express.
The track, produced by Brazilian music duo Tropkillaz, combines international sounds and multiple musical styles into an upbeat stadium anthem for the tournament. The song draws influence from different regions around the world and reflects the global nature of football.
Lisa, a Thai singer based in South Korea, rose to international fame as a member of Blackpink. Anitta is one of Brazil’s best-known pop stars, while Rema is a Nigerian artist known for Afrobeats.
News of Lisa’s possible appearance at the opening ceremony has circulated widely on social media and in international media reports. On Instagram, many fans said they were proud to see her associated with the world’s biggest football tournament.

Besides “Goals,” FIFA has also introduced two other songs linked to the tournament: “Lighter” by Jelly Roll and Carín León, and “Dai Dai” by Shakira and Burna Boy.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 will kick off June 11 at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, Mexico, and conclude with the final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, U.S. Shakira is also expected to perform at halftime during the final alongside Madonna and BTS.
