According to the information given on the official poster of the film, ‘Hai Jawaani To Ishq Hona Hai’ will be streamed on ZEE5 after its release in theatres. The OTT release date of the film has not been officially announced yet. Usually, big Bollywood films come on OTT platform 45 to 60 days after their theatrical release. So it is expected that this film will also be available on ZEE5 around the same time.

Change in release date

Actually, this film was earlier scheduled to release on 22 May 2026. At that time it was going to compete with Ananya Pandey and Lakshya’s film ‘Chand Mera Dil’. But later the makers of the film extended the release date. The new date was fixed as 5 June 2026. This change happened after Yash’s film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ was postponed. Varun Dhawan himself informed about the new release date by posting on Instagram. He wrote, ‘In theaters on June 5, 2026. Big thanks to thenameisyash and maddockfilms who helped reset our calendar. Now our film ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ is releasing on its original date. Varun also told that this film will be the first big film to hit the theaters after the end of IPL.

Varun Dhawan’s previous romantic comedy films

Varun Dhawan is very much liked by the audience in romantic comedy films. ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ is not his first romantic comedy. He has previously done successful romantic films: ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, ‘Student of the Year’, ‘Main Tera Hero’ and ‘Dilwale’. Recently was seen in ‘Sunny Sanskari’s Tulsi Kumari’. In his last film, Varun was seen in JP Dutta’s war drama ‘Border 2’.
