These days, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is busy in making revolutionary reforms in the education system of the state and also in making the entire government machinery absolutely hi-tech. A major campaign is being launched to completely upgrade the efficiency, digital skills and administrative capacity of the state government officers and employees. Uttar Pradesh has surprised everyone in the entire country with its speed in implementing the Central Government’s famous ‘Mission Karmayogi’ training program. According to the latest progress report released recently, more than 5.41 lakh government employees of UP have successfully completed more than four required digital training modules (courses). This number is a record 88.16 percent of the total registered employees.
Old pattern of Babugiri is over, now full focus will be on e-governance
The main objective of Mission Karmayogi is to forever uproot the traditional bureaucracy and old dull structure of files from government offices. Under this, employees are being directly connected with modern digital methodology, e-governance and transparent administrative methods. Talking about the figures, out of total 7 lakh government employees of Uttar Pradesh, 6,14,245 personnel have so far registered themselves on this training portal. Of these, 5,41,512 employees have passed more than 4 rigorous technical courses. The biggest relief for the government is that now only 0.50 percent employees are left in the entire state who have not yet started their training, i.e. whose learning is currently zero. All the remaining employees are updating themselves every day by learning new modules of computer and technology.
Small towns won in the race of districts, Lucknow-Varanasi lagged behind.
Small districts of Uttar Pradesh have done wonders in making employees digitally literate and superfast. These districts have overtaken even big metros like state capital Lucknow and Prime Minister’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi. In this entire race, Baghpat district has occupied the number one position in the entire Uttar Pradesh with 97.24% employees completing the course. Whereas Sant Kabirnagar district remains at second position with an excellent figure of 97.13%. After this comes Mathura and Basti districts, where 95.68% employees have completed their hi-tech training. If we look at the situation in big metros, only 94.22% employees in Aligarh, 91.09% in Varanasi, 89.70% in Lucknow and 87.09% in Prayagraj have completed their digital modules so far.
How will the general public benefit from this big digital revolution?
This huge and historic training campaign will not only increase the speed of work of government employees like a rocket, but the general public will also get huge benefits from it. Now the system of implementing government schemes, doing online digital monitoring of government files and providing essential government services to the public without any delay is going to be very strong. Especially this new technological model is helping a lot in making the education system of the education department and schools more effective and transparent. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has already made e-office system and online tracking of files completely mandatory in all the departments of the state, so this digital training of employees is going to prove to be a milestone in the direction of bringing good governance in Uttar Pradesh.
