Deputy Development Commissioner Kajle Vaibhav Nitin held a meeting with all the Block Panchayat Raj officials and Child Development Project officials of the district through video conferencing and reviewed the condition of repairs of dilapidated Anganwadi centers and toilets. During the meeting, the Deputy Development Commissioner directed all concerned officers to ensure immediate action to improve the basic facilities of Anganwadi centres. He said that a list of centers whose buildings are in dilapidated condition should be prepared and repair work should be done immediately so that a safe environment can be provided to the children and maids.

During the review, detailed information was also taken about the availability of toilets in Anganwadi centers and their working condition. He directed the officials to immediately ensure necessary repairs and cleaning arrangements where toilets are unusable. Deputy Development Commissioner said that Anganwadi centers are an important medium for the all-round development of children, hence availability of basic facilities there is very important. He directed all the officers to conduct regular inspections and provide progress reports.
