Rain soaked roads in Delhi-NCR
Saturday morning brought great relief to the people in many areas of Delhi. Heavy rains along with strong winds made the day good for the people. However, people also fear that if the sun comes after daybreak, this relief may turn into humidity. A video of heavy rain has also surfaced in many areas from Chandragupta Marg in Delhi and nearby areas. In this video you can see that the roads are completely drenched with rain.
The weather on Ferozshah Road also became pleasant after the rain. Apart from this, rain in areas like Connaught Place, Delhi Gate, Pahar Ganj, Karol Bagh to Kashmiri Gate has brought a smile on the faces of the people.
Strong storm in Noida, Greater Noida
At the same time, strong storm was also seen in areas from Noida to Greater Noida and other ACCR areas. Light drizzle also occurred in some parts. Due to this, a slight drop in temperature has been felt. However, people are still facing the scorching heat.
Temperature crossed 44 degrees
Let us tell you that according to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the effect of heat wave may continue in Delhi-NCR for the next few days. The temperature is expected to reach 44 to 46 degrees Celsius in many areas. Due to strong sunlight and hot winds, it has become difficult to go out in the afternoon.
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Delhi, Noida, Gurugram and surrounding areas. Experts say that at present the influence of dry and hot winds continues in North India, due to which the temperature is continuously increasing.
At the same time, experts say that a slight change may be seen in the weather in the last week of the month. There may be some drop in temperature due to rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms.
Electricity crisis is also increasing the problem
Due to the heat the demand for electricity has reached record levels. Due to continuous running of AC and cooler, complaints of power cuts are also being reported in many areas. Due to increase in electricity consumption across the country, pressure on the power grid has increased.
Experts say that if the temperature continues to rise like this, the power crisis may deepen in the coming days. People have been advised to stay indoors during the afternoon and drink enough water.
