New Delhi . In the history of Hindi cinema, many such songs were made which not only entertained but also deeply touched the emotions of the people. The hidden stories behind some songs make them even more special. One such evergreen song was “Dil Ke Jharokhe Mein Tujhko Bithakar”, listening to which even today old memories get refreshed in the hearts of people. The pain and emotions hidden behind this song were so true that even actor Shammi Kapoor could not stop his tears during its shooting.
It is said that this song was written by famous lyricist Hasrat Jaipuri during the most painful period of his life. During his youth, he had fallen deeply in love with a girl living in his neighbourhood. Love in those times was not expressed openly like it is today. The silent talks of the eyes, hidden feelings and words written on paper used to be the means of love. Hasrat also expressed his feelings through songs and letters, but could never express his love openly.
Both liked each other, but due to different religions, their relationship could not be approved. Slowly time passed and the day came when the girl’s marriage was fixed. On the day when his palanquin was rising, Hasrat Jaipuri was sitting with his broken heart. He had neither any complaint nor any solution. He started putting his pain into words and the same pain later became included in the most emotional songs of Hindi cinema.
He wrote his feelings in such a way that the pain of separation was felt in every word. The feeling of making memories a bride and keeping them in the heart gave such depth to the song that every person who heard it got connected to it. Later this song was used in a film and was picturized on actor Shammi Kapoor. When Shammi Kapoor heard the lyrics of the song for the first time, he was completely immersed in its emotions.
It is said that he had refused to do this song before the shooting because he was afraid that he would not be able to control his emotions. He felt that if he got completely involved in this scene, he would burst into tears, whereas there was no need to cry in the scene. The words of the song and its sentiments were so deep that he was unable to control himself. Later the shooting was completed with great difficulty and this song became the most memorable part of the film.
