The scope of CBI's investigation in the NEET-UG paper leak case is increasing. 11 people including 3 teachers appointed by NTA have been arrested. The investigation has revealed transactions worth crores and running of special classes through leaked papers.

New Delhi: The scope of CBI's investigation in the paper leak case of medical entrance exam NEET-UG is increasing. After the arrest of three teachers appointed by the National Testing Agency (NTA), now two more teachers are on the radar of CBI. According to CBI, transactions worth crores have taken place in this game of paper leaks. CBI has found that the arrested teachers had conducted special classes using the leaked question papers. A huge amount was collected from the students for admission in these classes.

The investigating agency has recently arrested the third teacher in this case. 58 year old Manisha Sanjay Havildar, resident of Pune, has been arrested by CBI. She was appointed by NTA and helped in preparing the Physics paper of NEET-UG. CBI says that Manisha had given physics questions to another accused teacher Manisha Mandhare, who was arrested on May 16. Investigation revealed that the leaked questions and the questions in the original paper were the same.

The arrested Manisha Sanjay Havaldar is the principal of a school in Pune and was scheduled to retire on July 30 next month. Earlier, Manisha Mandhare, a biology teacher in a college in Pune, was arrested. He handled questions from Botany and Zoology. The first teacher to be arrested in this case was P.V. of Latur. Was Kulkarni. He was a chemistry lecturer in a college and was associated with NTA after retirement. It was he who translated the questions into Marathi.

A total of 11 people have been arrested so far in this case. The investigation team has conducted raids at places like Delhi, Jaipur, Gurugram, Nashik, Pune, Latur and Ahilyanagar. Many important documents, electronic devices like laptops and mobile phones have been seized in these raids. Forensic investigation of all these is going on.
