Amit Shah’s announcement: ‘Smart Border’ project started to curb infiltration, Modi government will make Pak-Bangladesh border impenetrable

Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said the government will launch a “smart border” project next year to make the 6,000-km-long border with Pakistan and Bangladesh impenetrable and foil a conspiracy to change the demography of these areas.

Speaking at the annual Rustomjee Memorial Lecture organized by the Border Security Force (BSF) here, Shah also reiterated that the government will track down every infiltrator from the country and deport them from India. After the establishment of BSF in 1965. F. Rustamji was its first Director General.

Shah said, “I want to assure the BSF jawans that we will launch the Smart Border project in the 60th year of its establishment and make the Pakistan-Bangladesh borders impenetrable.” Shah said that the Modi government has decided to create a strong security cordon on the borders of Pakistan and Bangladesh in the next one year and the “Smart Border” will help in making the border impenetrable with the help of technology, drones, radars and smart cameras.

The minister urged BSF soldiers to foil the conspiracy to artificially change India’s population. He said that the present BJP governments of Tripura, West Bengal and Assam believe in the policy that there should be no infiltration from Indian borders. Shah said that his ministry will soon hold a meeting with the Chief Ministers of these states on the subject of border security.
