Tom Hardy steps away from ‘MobLand’: What happened?

Fans may not have seen this coming, with reports alleging behind-the-scenes conflict has led to a major change for the hit crime drama MobLand .

Reports suggest Tom Hardy will no longer return for MobLand season three after an alleged fallout with producers.

In May 21’s edition of the Puck newsletterveteran entertainment journalist Matthew Belloni reported that Paramount allegedly decided against bringing Tom back for season three following reported tensions during the production of season 2.

The 48-year-old English actor was reportedly said to have arrived late on set and tried to influence the script by requesting changes to the already written dialogue.

In the series, Tom portrayed Harry Da Souza, a fixer working for the Harrigan crime family, appearing alongside Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan and a star studded cast.

Premiering in March 2025, MobLand became a breakout hit for Paramount+. The series was created by Ronan Bennett, executive produced by Guy Ritchie, and also counts the Venom star among its executive producers.

After being renewed for a second season in 2025, the series is set to release later this year.
