In Gorakhpur Gola, two passports were made by changing the name and date of birth, allegations of foreign travel; Case registered in Gola police station

The police have taken major action after a case of allegedly making two passports and traveling abroad on the basis of two different names and dates of birth came to light in Gola police station area of ​​Gorakhpur. Police have registered a case against a person resident of Kaudiya village and started investigation for getting a double passport made with the help of forged documents. After the matter came to light, the discussion in the area has also intensified.
According to the police, this action has been taken against Umesh Yadav, son of Dudhnath Yadav, resident of Kauria of Gola police station area, in connection with the ongoing dual passport investigation at the level of Senior Superintendent of Police. It was told that under Dual Passport Inquiry No. 73/26 dated 10 April 2026, the local police was examining the records and documents to the accused.

During investigation, the police came to know that in the year 2016, passport number P4819919 was issued in the name of Umesh Yadav, son of Doodhnath Yadav, in which the date of birth was recorded as 08 August 1988. In the year 2024, passport number C4813241 was made in the name of Sumesh Kumar Yadav, son of Dudhnath Yadav, in which the date of birth was mentioned as 24 March 1975.

Police investigation claimed that both the passport holders were found to be the same person. It is alleged that by changing the name and date of birth, a second passport was prepared through forged documents and on its basis foreign travel was also done. Investigation also revealed that the accused has been living abroad for a long time.

Considering the matter as serious, Gola Police has registered a case against the accused under sections 319(2), 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and section 12 of the Passport Act.

Police Station Head Prahlad Singh said that all the documents in the case are being thoroughly investigated. The activities and travel details of the accused present abroad are also being investigated. Police say that further legal action will be taken based on the investigation.
