Raj Babbar family dispute: The family dispute of actor-politician Raj Babbar is not stopping. There has once again been a war of words between his son Prateek Babbar and Arya Babbar. Recently, actor Arya Babbar has once again given a serious statement regarding his step brother Prateek. He has alleged that Prateik Babbar takes financial benefits from his father Raj, but does not accept them publicly.

In an interview with journalist Vicky Lalwani, Arya Babbar told how his family tried to maintain their relationship with Prateek very carefully for years, but they were left in a dilemma when Prateek suddenly broke ties with them.

Arya further alleged that despite publicly distancing herself from her first family with Raj Babbar and Nadira Babbar, Prateek continued to receive financial help from his father. He said,
“It’s like when your (Prateek’s) career is not going well and you need pocket money from him to survive, then you remember your father. When you want to live in the house that your father bought for Smita Ma, then he is your father. When you want to avail all the facilities, then he is your father. But when you have to accept and respect him in front of the society, then he is not your father. What is this? An elder brother. As in, I love him, but when he’s wrong, he’s wrong, and that’s where he’s wrong.”

He further said, “It is very sad that Smita Maa, for whom my father left his family, today the same Smita Maa’s son is not ready to accept her as his father. What could be a bigger tragedy than this?” He said, “As an elder brother, I will stand by him, but if I am asked if I can embrace and love him in the same way, then probably not.”

Arya Babbar told that the family tried many times to improve relations, but the situation did not change much. According to him, Prateik Babbar had reduced contact with his family to a great extent after his first marriage.

He also said that despite sending messages, often no response is received.

Change of name of Prateik Babbar increased discussion
It is said that Prateik Babbar later changed his name to “Prateik Smita Patil”, after which the tension within the family increased further. He took many big decisions regarding his personal life, which have been discussed earlier also.

The love story of Raj Babbar and Smita Patil is not hidden from anyone. This family dispute is to their marriage. Raj Babbar was already married to Nadira Babbar when he met Smita Patil on the sets of the film ‘Bheegi Palkein’. A relationship developed between the two, but at that time Raj was already married and had two children.

Both of them got married in 1983 and Prateik Babbar was born in 1986. However, Smita Patil died shortly after the birth of her child, at the age of only 31.

After this Raj Babbar started living with his first family again.
