Strengthening the country’s defense system, India on Friday made another important display of its strategic prowess. Short-range ballistic missile Agni-1 was successfully tested from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) located in Chandipur, Odisha. The test was conducted under the supervision of the Strategic Forces Command (SFC) of the Indian Army. Agni-1 is a short range ballistic missile, with a range of 700 to 1,200 kilometers. This missile is capable of accurately targeting and destroying enemy targets located at such distances.

According to the information released by the Defense Ministry, during this test launch, all the technical and operational parameters of the missile were examined very closely. This testing process was extremely rigorous and detailed, in which the missile proved itself completely intact. The missile’s performance met all the expectations.
