Actually, from tomorrow i.e. 23rd May 2026, all the branches of State Bank in the country may remain closed. It is being said that banks will remain closed due to long holidays as well as strike. Therefore, if you are also a customer of SBI, then go to the branch and get your work done today itself, otherwise your work will be stopped for the next 6 days. Although there are not many weekends and holidays, there is talk of keeping the bank closed due to the strike.
Customers may have to face a lot of difficulties due to this. Due to this, important tasks like depositing or withdrawing cash, check clearance and loan processing will be affected.
Why will the bank remain closed?
Actually, tomorrow i.e. 23rd and 24th May 2026 is falling on Saturday and Sunday, which means both these days are going to be bank weekends, due to which the bank will have to remain closed. According to media reports, SBI Staff Federation has informed about a proposed strike on 25-26 May 2026. At the same time, there will be Bakrid holiday on 27-28 May, due to which the bank will remain closed. Bakrid festival will be celebrated on different days in different states of India, due to which RBI has also declared two different days of holidays for this festival.
