Amrita Arora’s regrets
Many years later, Amrita Arora expressed her regret about this film in Karan Johar’s show ‘Coffee with Karan’. When Karan asked her if she enjoyed doing the film, Amrita simply replied ‘No’. She said, ‘I usually don’t have regrets, but if I get a chance to go back in time, I will definitely leave this film.’ Amrita further said that initially when the topic was told to her, she felt that it was very progressive. But when the film was completed, he was very disappointed.
He said, ‘After watching the film, I felt that it was just full of obscenity.’ His family members also left the screening of the film midway because they were feeling very uncomfortable. Amrita said emotionally that she felt very sad to see her parents disappointed. He told his family that ‘everyone makes mistakes, it is better to forget them’. Amrita clarified that she did not have a problem with showing lesbian relationships, but she did not like the way the subject was shown in the film.
