Despite divided reviews, the movie has opened strongly at the box office both in India and overseas.

Drishyam 3 box office collection day-wise

According to early estimates shared by Sacnilk, Drishyam 3 earned around Rs 15.85 crore net in India on its opening day. The film was screened across 5,506 shows nationwide and recorded an impressive turnout, especially in Kerala. The India gross collection stood at approximately Rs 18.37 crore on Day 1.

The film also performed exceptionally well in international markets. Overseas collections reportedly touched Rs 25 crore gross, taking the film’s total worldwide earnings to nearly Rs 43.37 crore within just one day of release. The strong numbers prove that the Drishyam franchise continues to enjoy a loyal fan base across the globe.

Among all language versions, the Malayalam original emerged as the biggest contributor. The Malayalam version alone earned around Rs 13.70 crore net on its opening day. Reports suggest the film registered nearly 67 per cent occupancy across 3,503 shows, with evening and night screenings witnessing packed theatres in several locations.

Kerala turned out to be the strongest market for the thriller, contributing nearly Rs 11.15 crore gross on Day 1. Fans flocked to theatres to watch Mohanlal reprise one of his most iconic roles. Social media was also flooded with reactions praising the suspense-driven storytelling and emotional moments in the film.

The Telugu dubbed version also managed to attract audiences in select centres and collected around Rs 1.50 crore net on the first day. Trade analysts believe the film may continue to perform steadily over the weekend, especially in southern states where the franchise enjoys massive popularity.
