Arsenal are gearing up for another hectic summer transfer window, which could bring about yet another major reshuffle in their squad.
The North London side have reportedly set a price tag for one of their key players who could be sold in the upcoming window.
After spending a record-breaking sum in the 2025 transfer window, Arsenal added eight new players to their roster — with Martin Zubimendi, Eberechi Eze, and Viktor Gyokeres emerging as central figures in the team’s Premier League title challenge and their impressive run to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.
However, there is a growing understanding within the club that some sales will be necessary this summer to maintain financial balance — and one influential member of the squad now seems to be on the list of potential departures.
Although Arsenal currently sit six points clear at the top of the Premier League table and have reached back-to-back Champions League semi-finals for the first time in their history, their squad depth is being severely tested over a demanding 62-match season.
Key players such as Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, and Riccardo Calafiori were absent in the recent match against Sporting, while Noni Madueke left the pitch injured. These setbacks have not only hampered the team’s scoring ability but also reignited debates about the overall quality of their attacking options — a topic revisited by pundit Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football following Arsenal’s weekend loss to Bournemouth.
According to a new report from Brazilian outlet A Critica, Arsenal have placed a €30 million valuation on Gabriel Jesus. However, as per ESPN Brazil journalist Bruno Andrade, the forward’s priority remains extending his stay in North London.
Jesus made an immediate impression after joining Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022, leading the line under Mikel Arteta during the club’s first genuine title pursuit since the 2015/16 campaign. His leadership and previous title-winning experience at City even earned him the role of vice-captain.
But following a knee injury sustained while on World Cup duty later that year, the Brazilian striker has struggled to rediscover his early form. A series of injuries since then culminated in an anterior cruciate ligament problem in January 2025, which sidelined him for nearly a year.
FourFourTwo reports that Jesus had a chance to leave during the winter transfer window, with his former club Palmeiras expressing interest in bringing him back to Brazil. Both Mikel Arteta and the player ultimately decided against the move. The 29-year-old has since been used mainly as an impact substitute, as he works toward earning a spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad for what could be his third World Cup appearance.
By next January, Jesus will have spent ten years in English football. It is understood that he prefers to remain in the Premier League even if Arsenal decide to move him on. The club, meanwhile, are reportedly open to letting their No.9 leave on loan with an obligation to buy, with several Serie A clubs showing interest.
FourFourTwo further understands that while Arsenal’s sporting director Andrea Berta is keen to secure a transfer fee for Jesus before his contract expires in 2026, a major motivation behind selling him is to reduce the club’s wage bill. The striker remains one of Arsenal’s highest earners, with Capology estimating his base salary at approximately £265,000 per week.
Sport Witness also highlighted Arsenal’s €30 million valuation, noting that “until now, most of the discussion had been based on intention rather than concrete terms,” and that the figure “gives real shape” to the likelihood of a transfer.
According to Transfermarkt, Jesus currently holds a market value of €20 million. Arsenal’s next challenge comes this weekend when they face Manchester City as Premier League action resumes.
