As per reports from TZ München, Bayern Munich defender Raphaël Guerreiro is said to be contemplating an immediate retirement from professional football.
The left-back is expected to make a decision after this Saturday’s DFB-Pokal final clash against VfB Stuttgart, with sources suggesting it could mark the end of his playing career.
Guerreiro has battled recurring injuries during the latter years of his career, and the repeated efforts to regain match fitness have reportedly taken a significant physical and mental toll on him.
At present, there are no transfer speculations linking the versatile 32-year-old to any other club, further fuelling talk of an impending retirement.
Guerreiro first arrived in the Bundesliga in June 2016, when he joined Borussia Dortmund from French side Lorient for a transfer fee of €12 million.
During his time with Dortmund, he won two DFB-Pokal trophies before leaving the club in 2023 to sign for Bayern Munich on a free transfer, agreeing to a three-year contract.
Since joining the Bavarian side, Guerreiro has added two Bundesliga titles in the 2024–25 and 2025–26 seasons, along with the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup, to his impressive list of achievements.
