Trailer Launch of Varun’s Film Abruptly Called Off

The troubles of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, the upcoming comedy film by David Dhawan and his son Varun, seem to be never-ending. The latest shocker is the abrupt cancellation of the trailer launch after invitees had begun to trickle in on Thursday afternoon. The development comes after multiple changes in the release date, and legal trouble over the music. None of the stars of the film—Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur—showed up for Thursday’s event. Nor were the director or producer anywhere to be seen. The cancellation was done so casually that it seemed the film’s team had no interest in the event. No new date for the trailer launch has been announced. The film is scheduled to be released on June 5 as of now.
