Does helmet cause hair fall?

According to doctors, the real cause of permanent baldness is genetics and hormonal changes. Wearing a helmet does not directly cause permanent baldness. This is completely a myth. However, due to not keeping the helmet clean, the hair may become temporarily weak and may break.

Wearing and taking off a helmet that is too tight repeatedly causes hair breakage due to constant pull and friction on the hair roots.

Wearing a helmet for a long time causes sweat and moisture to accumulate in the head and due to lack of air, bacteria and fungus start growing there, which increases the problem of dandruff and itching and leads to hair fall.

easy prevention measures

Always tie a clean cotton scarf or handkerchief around your head to absorb sweat before wearing the helmet. Apart from this, always choose a properly fitting helmet, which is neither too tight nor too loose. The roots are weakest when your hair is wet, so avoid wearing a hamlet in wet hair. Also, clean the helmet regularly and wash its inner lining once a week and dry it in a ventilated place.
