ITV has revealed its full roster of presenters, pundits, commentators and reporters for the FIFA World Cup 2026, promising an impressive line-up for one of the most eagerly awaited tournaments in football history.
With the 2026 World Cup just around the corner, ITV has confirmed its broadcast team for the tournament. The network will air 51 matches live, complemented by a wide range of programmes on ITVX, including the behind-the-scenes documentary series ‘Inside The World Cup’, the creator-driven show ‘World Cup: Full Time’, and a 24/7 World Cup Channel showcasing 40 classic matches.
Viewers can follow ITV’s coverage across its digital platforms, including ITV Sport’s official website and ITV Football’s social media channels.
The broadcaster promises that this will be the biggest World Cup ever — and it has assembled a team worthy of the occasion.
Mark Pougatch, a familiar face on ITV since replacing Adrian Chiles as the network’s lead football presenter in January 2015, will once again front coverage. This will be the 58-year-old’s third World Cup for ITV, following his work during Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022.
Laura Woods, one of the most recognisable sports presenters across television and radio, will also return for her second World Cup with ITV. The 38-year-old has previously worked with Sky Sports, talkSPORT and TNT Sports.
American broadcaster Semra Hunter, who hosted UEFA’s preliminary draw in Zurich in December 2024, joins the ITV team for the tournament. The 39-year-old, renowned for her expertise in Spanish football, has contributed to major networks such as BBC, Sky Sports and CNN.
Adam Richman, best known for his reality show ‘Man v Food’, is a surprise addition to ITV’s line-up. The 52-year-old New Yorker will co-present alongside Hunter, engaging celebrity guests to discuss the biggest social and cultural stories surrounding the World Cup.
Roy Keane, the former Manchester United midfielder, will provide his trademark honest and no-nonsense analysis during the competition. Known for his outspoken personality on The Overlap podcast, Keane’s insights are always a major talking point.
Joining him will be Ian Wright, the former Arsenal and England striker, who earned 33 caps for his country but never featured in a World Cup finals. Wright, another regular from The Overlap, brings both humour and experience to ITV’s panel.
Gary Neville, another ex-Manchester United star, will temporarily step back from his Sky Sports duties to join ITV’s punditry team. Neville has built a reputation as one of the most prominent voices in football broadcasting.
Patrick Vieira, the former Arsenal midfielder and 1998 World Cup winner with France, will also feature among ITV’s pundits. The network will be hoping that his past rivalry with Keane adds a lively edge to their discussions.
Karen Carney, who earned 144 caps for the Lionesses and previously played for Arsenal and Chelsea, will bring her vast experience as a pundit. The former Strictly Come Dancing winner has become one of the most respected analysts in the game.
Former Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest manager Ange Postecoglou will contribute his insights after venturing into punditry last year. The Australian coach is known for his friendly yet sharp footballing intellect.
Juan Mata, the ex-Manchester United and Chelsea midfielder currently playing for A-League side Melbourne Victory, will also provide analysis. The 38-year-old Spaniard is expected to offer thoughtful perspectives on the modern game.
Emma Hayes, the former Chelsea Women manager and current USA Women’s national team head coach, will bring her deep knowledge of North American football to ITV’s coverage.
Duncan Ferguson, the former Everton striker, will assess Scotland’s performance at the tournament. Despite being a prolific Premier League scorer in 1998, Ferguson missed out on Scotland’s last World Cup appearance.
Jobi McAnuff, who played for Reading and Leyton Orient and is now an established EFL pundit for Sky Sports, will offer his analytical expertise to ITV viewers.
Bradley Wright-Phillips, son of Shaun Wright-Phillips and a prolific scorer for Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls, will contribute commentary on the state of football in the USA.
Former referee Christina Unkel returns as ITV’s officiating analyst, having served in the same capacity during Euro 2024. She will review major refereeing calls and the inevitable VAR debates that arise during the competition.
Reporter Khan, best known for his work on Sky Sports, will serve as ITV’s social correspondent, delivering updates from the streets of New York. ITV stated he will explore “everything from underground fan culture across the five boroughs to fashion, music, and the latest match news defining FIFA World Cup 2026.”
Reporter Clarke, a familiar voice from past international tournaments, will cover the England camp, while McLaughlin, who worked on Euro 2024, will also report from the field.
Sam Matterface remains ITV’s lead commentator for the World Cup. Though sometimes polarising among fans, he will take charge of England fixtures and key knockout matches.
Veteran broadcaster Jon Champion, making his 10th World Cup appearance, will once again team up with Ally McCoist, with whom he shares excellent chemistry built over years of commentary.
Seb Hutchinson, a regular Premier League commentator for Sky Sports, joins ITV’s commentary roster, as does Speight, who has worked for NBC and covered several major tournaments.
Former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon will provide co-commentary alongside Matterface. Known for his measured tone and deep tactical understanding, Dixon brings decades of experience from international tournaments.
Ally McCoist, famed for his exuberant co-commentary with ‘Fletch’ on TNT Sports, will bring his trademark enthusiasm to ITV. His rapport with Jon Champion is one of the highlights fans can look forward to.
Former Tottenham winger Andros Townsend will also feature as co-commentator, having previously worked with Hutchinson in similar roles.
Lucy Ward, a regular TNT Sports commentator and pundit who has covered five Women’s World Cup finals since her playing days, completes the impressive ITV commentary team for 2026.
