That is, they were there even in that era when ancient animals lived on earth. Later dinosaurs came and also died out, but cockroaches kept changing themselves with time and have survived till today.
Cockroach can survive even if its head is cut off
The most surprising thing about the cockroach is that it can remain alive for many days even after the head is separated. Like humans, its entire body does not depend only on the brain. There are nerve centers called ganglion in different parts of its body, which control the body.
Not only this, cockroaches do not breathe through the nose. There are small holes in their body, which are called spiracles. Oxygen goes in through these. This is why it can survive for some time even after being decapitated.
Ability to remain hungry for months
Cockroaches can survive even with very limited resources. They can remain without food for many days and when needed, they fill their stomach even with small things. This is the reason why it is not considered easy to eliminate them.
Can tolerate radiation easily
It is often said that cockroaches will survive even after a nuclear attack. Although scientists believe that the intense heat of the explosion can destroy them too, but their ability to tolerate radiation is more than other organisms.
What color is cockroach blood?
Human blood is red in colour. At the same time, that of many animals too, but do you know that the color of cockroach’s blood is not red but colourless. In some conditions it may be light white or grey.
