Patna. The state government has taken a big step to stop land disputes and frauds in Bihar. With the introduction of the new digital system and portal, the land registry process will now become more transparent and secure than before. The government claims that this initiative will put a strict check on the land mafia and fraudsters and will provide great relief to the common people.
This new system will also strengthen the real estate sector. Having clean and online land records will increase confidence in buying and selling property. Also, banks will also be able to do property verification easily, which will simplify the home loan and other loan process. This is also expected to give impetus to investment and development in the state.
1. There will be complete transparency in land registry
The main objective of the new portal launched by the government is to make the land registry process completely transparent. Now the records of registration and revenue departments have been linked together. This will make it almost impossible to do registration on the basis of fake documents. Earlier, cases like selling of same land to many people used to come to light, now such frauds are expected to be stopped.
2.Complete land records will be available in one click
The biggest feature of the new system is that now complete information about any land will be available online. Any person will be able to see the complete record of the land by entering the account, khesra, jamabandi number or deed number. It will also provide information about who is the real owner of the land, whether it is ancestral or purchased and whether there is any dispute or case going on over it. This will give the buyer a chance to be alert in advance and avoid a wrong deal.
3. Investigation will be done immediately at the time of registration.
Under the new digital system, major changes have also been made in the registry process. Now as soon as a person applies for land registry, the concerned authorities will check all the records through the online database. If any discrepancy or double claim situation is found, the system will automatically stop that registry. Along with this, Aadhaar verification and biometric identification are also being made mandatory, so that the possibility of registration through fake identity can be eliminated.
