Question of copy raised after comparison with Italian song
On the social media platform Reddit, a user shared clips of Mashuka and the 1993 Italian song Se So Arrubate A Nonna. The user claimed that the tune of both the songs is very similar.

As soon as the post went viral, debate started on the internet. Many said that Mashuka’s tune sounds inspired by old Italian tracks. Some users also made funny comments taunting music composer Pritam.

One user wrote, “By stealing, I have made such a dull song.” While another jokingly said, “Pritam lifting songs now seems like an industry tradition.”

However, not everyone on social media is considering it a copy. Many users supported Pritam and said that this may not be direct theft but ‘sampling’.

What is the real Italian song?
The name of the song with which the comparison is being made is Se So Arrubate A Nonna. It was a comic Neapolitan track released in 1993, composed by Italian duo Bibi & Coco. This song is from his album Le Origini Vol. Was part of 2.
