Lemon Pepper Orzo Bake

This creamy, citrusy one-pan dinner combines tender orzo pasta, juicy rotisserie chicken, and rich Parmesan cheese with a bright lemon-pepper flavor. It’s comforting, flavorful, and perfect for a quick weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 2 cups orzo pasta
- 2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk or cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large oven-safe skillet or baking dish, heat butter and olive oil.
- Add garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the orzo and toast lightly for 2 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and milk, then mix well.
- Add shredded chicken, black pepper, lemon zest, and salt.
- Transfer to the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes until the orzo becomes tender.
- Remove from the oven and stir in Parmesan cheese and lemon juice.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
