This creamy, citrusy one-pan dinner combines tender orzo pasta, juicy rotisserie chicken, and rich Parmesan cheese with a bright lemon-pepper flavor. It’s comforting, flavorful, and perfect for a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups orzo pasta
  • 2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk or cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet or baking dish, heat butter and olive oil.
  3. Add garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the orzo and toast lightly for 2 minutes.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and milk, then mix well.
  6. Add shredded chicken, black pepper, lemon zest, and salt.
