Vrindavan: Former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu reached Vrindavan with his daughter Rabia on Wednesday. Here he performed puja as per rituals at Siddhapeeth Katyayani Devi temple and also participated in the havan. The priest of the temple tied Rakshasutra on his wrist and applied Tilak with the vermillion offered by Mata. After the puja, Sidhu sat meditating in the temple premises for some time. It is being told that he worshiped Mother Katyayani for about half an hour.

As soon as the news of his arrival at the temple was received, the media also reached there, but Sidhu was seen keeping distance from the cameras and questions. He said off record that this visit is completely personal and spiritual, it has no connection with any political activity. He has come here for mental peace and spiritual solace. According to media reports, Sidhu may stay in Vrindavan for the next two-three days. During this time he can also visit other major temples here.
