Drugs worth Rs 3.82 crore seized at Kempegowda Airport

Devanahalli: Customs officials at Kempegowda International Airport seized hydroponic ganja worth Rs 3.82 crore from a passenger who arrived from Bangkok.
Officials said the passenger’s suspicious behaviour led to a detailed inspection. During the search, customs officers found 10.92 kg of hydroponic ganja.
The accused has been arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Authorities said attempts to smuggle drugs into the country through air routes have increased in recent days. In response, security and checking procedures at the airport have been tightened further.
